Language Courses

What if you could learn a new bhakti yoga language where the vocabulary was pure devotion? I mean instead of Hindi words for bus and bathroom, or tongue-twisting Sanskrit asana names; I’m talking words for “love, heart, forest, face.” The vocabulary and skills you would need to read and translate devotional poetry and bhakti stories. Intrigued? Then you will surely love this primary course in BRAJBHASHA: THE LANGUAGE OF LORD KRISHNA.

A doorway into the Braj bhav, through an easy exploration of the history, grammar, poetry and prose of Brajbhasha language. A multimedia course, incorporating written, spoken and sung devotional materials. Weekly instructional screencast videos introduce new concepts, homework exercises sharpen skills, and quizzes test them. In weekly live satsang sessions we will review materials, address questions, and flow into a discussion of newly presented poems and prose, together interpreting passages of sacred literature.
